You Say It's My Birthday!

Hey everybody! It's my birthday! I've left my 20s and entered the strange, wide world of my 30s. Woo hoo!

Now, I'm not one to beg but I'll do it anyway -- all I want for my big day is for everyone who reads this (all six of you) to leave a comment -- especially if you've never left one before. In return, I'll visit each of your blogs and leave a comment. If you'd really like to make my day, please include the link to a funny/favorite post from your blog.

(My husband thinks it's lame that I'm so immodestly heralding the arrival of my birthday and even worse, fishing for comments but seriously, I'm turning 30 and this is all I want? He should be thanking his lucky stars I'm not asking for a trip to Europe or something. Also, I have no shame. Truthfully, my blog counter seems to be off the chizz-ain these days so unless my mom is checking our blog 72 times a day, something tells me there are others out there who have yet to introduce themselves ... at least that's what I'm hoping. If not, thanks Mom for boosting my self esteem!)

Happy Birthday! Hopefully you won't be freaked out by the fact that you don't know me! I belong to the "What's for Dinner" blog that Lachelle started and I saw a link to your blog one day and clicked on it. I wanted to check your blog out because your name is Celia and my daughter's name is Cecelia! Have a wonderful day and enjoy being 30!

I love it! Did you know that Ruth bought a big bag of candy every year on her birthday and handed it out to everyone she passed at USU and announced "It's my birthday, have some candy"! It is totally okay to give others, who may not know it's your birthday, a reason to celebrate and eat some candy or post a funny comment. And I love that you are calling out visitors of your blog to make themselves known. We all visit blogs we love but have never met the people in our lives. My funny blog post would have to be my latest post. With inspiration from my dear friend Celia, to have some sort of a theme to my pics. Love ya and hope your birthday is the greatest. Are we going to see you on your birthday? Come home to your friends, it's not the same without you! (Longest comment of my blog career. Sorry!)

Happy Birthday, Celia. But you already know I read here.

And you should still demand a trip to Europe.

Dear Cel, Sometimes I check your blog 3, 4, 5, 6, times a day just hoping you've posted. So....maybe my numbers are adding up. OR MAYBE you have become part of the Stussy Posse and are super popular. It's your birthday you decide. I hope your birthday rocks.
Love, Becca
P.S. Did you really post at 7 AM?

Celia - Welcome to the over 30 club. Take your shoes off and get comfortable, you'll be here a while. So glad it's your b-day, too bad you don't live closer - we'd go out and celebrate. Hope to see you over Spring Break!!! Enjoy your day.

Celia!! Happy Birthday! 30, huh? That is alright - it is being young at heart that matters! :) This is Heather Enslinger. And yes I confess to checking your fun little blog at least twice a day. (I am still just getting used to staying at home with a baby ....Perhaps I need to get a life and find other things to occupy my time! In fact, you are on my "list" of friends....Maybe since I am commenting, on your birthday none the less, I should be privileged enough to be added to your "Short List of Techie Friends and Family." Maybe, eh? You do check out my blog after all as well! By the way, don't forget to check out "Jack's Mad Skills." I sure do love thos pics of him so enjoy! More will be posted of the cute little guy later today! Sorry for the long comment, but HAPPY B-DAY!!

It was so good to get to actually talk to you this morning. Thanks for listening to all my boring life stuff. I'm still so glad that you love it up there in Montana. Hopefully your day was filled with fun. I found the valentine note that 'Scotty' left me back in '97 or so. You know when he left a rose. I will have send you a copy. It's on this cool paper that says "Toxic Boy". Those were the days. Hopefully now that you kind of have to be around him more that he gives you flowers still. Have a great last 2 1/2 hours of your birthday. I can't wait to join the 30 club come August. I hear 30 is the new 10. Those were the days. Ahhhhh.

Holla if your 30! Oh wait, I'm not yet. So I hardly think I am required to leave a comment, since I gave you a hefty shout out on my blog, but Happy Birthday again! I hope you and Scotty did something fun tonight. Call me and let me know.

Happy Birthday!!! One day late I know. How could I forget with all the reminding you've been doing the last 2 weeks. Next time give me three. Anyway, remember the time you (and the rest of us freaks-if you will) mooned cars on the back road of Cedar Hills? Good times!! We were the real rebels weren't we? I'm glad we've all straightened out. Well I was thinking maybe you should do that tonight just to keep yourself young. It doesn't matter if you do it on main street or on your street, just as long as it gets done. I turn 30 next month and will look to you as an example of how to grow old gracefully. Thank you, love mandy.

Please don't mark this comment as innapropriate. Everybody has shown their arse at one time or another!!

Okay, so I just have to set the record straight -- I have NEVER mooned anyone -- especially on that fateful night in Cedar Hills! I'll admit, I MIGHT have been there but I know no one was unlucky enough to see my neon-white backside that night. So sorry to disappoint.

Happy late birthday!! Turning 30 was really the most exciting birthday and a little weird too- I think I finally felt like a true grown-up. Hope you had a spectacular day!

Celia,

Happy birthday! I love to read your blog and get the latest on your family. I spend so much time reading other peoples blogs that I have yet to find time to do my own. When is the next Smith reunion? We all need to get together. Miss you!

Celia-Happy belated birthday and did you win the American Idol Contest on the ship or what? I need follow up because Ali's video didn't show you winning and being a smith I'm sure you won-so? Girl you crack me up and I love your idea for turning 30 I've been dreading it for months but stock through our old high school pals and it's made me feel better about the looming day and maybe it will help you as well. Until we meet again-bye bye
