Gender Confusion

Here's a little random sample of my kids' unique behavior today.

Henry walks out of my room, having gotten a hold of and experimented with my mascara, looking like this:

Then Ruby's running around with a death-grip on her favorite cars.

I'm going to pretend I'm not drawing any conclusions from this behavior.

I'm glad to hear it was just mascara. When I first looked at the picture I thought he had a black eye. No big deal! Whew.

Cel, what's wrong with Rub playing with cars. I did it, and look how great I turned out...right? Hen on the other hand...well, what do ya do.

Bah. Don't worry about it. Spe runs around here in Ivy's princess dress ups, and I don't say a word.

They come how they come, I say!

Hey lets look at the bright side, Hen could have a bright future, he could be the next Miss J. from America's Next Top Model. Holla Hen!

Well, lately he's been doing a mean rendition of "Ain't No Holla Back Girl!" so maybe all the pieces are finally coming together.

Is it wrong I just giggle when I read your posts. I can just hear you exactly the way I heard you the last time we actually spoke....what about 8 years ago? Your kids are so cute, and I love to read your writing. Thanks for the heads up on Harmony, I had no idea. We took the Carnival Cruise to Mexico. It was SO fun, but a little chilly. It will be warmer when you go! Where are you going?

are you kidding - Ruby has a car that matches her outfit - that is a skill only the best girls have and Henry was trying to toughen his image with a "black eye" - I love it!
